I am currently working towards a new Cathedral show here in sheffield this october 2008.
The work will spring from studies of 2 pieces within the Sheffield Museum and galleries trust on themes of judgement and mercy. The Death of Marshal Ney by Gerome and a biblical painting by Giovanni Battiste.
Next year I am due to show in the curwen gallery London W1 in September
My work is primarily oil on canvas. As my painting evolves I am seeking to deal with strong universal themes such as mortality, healing, the role of the imagination and dream.
A love for painterly depth and rich colour are constant vital elements to me.
